Maryland’s Agricultural Reporting Tool (MART) is a web application (“Application”) designed to simplify and enhance the management of Maryland farmers' agricultural operations. It aims to support Maryland's Annual Implementation Reporting (AIR) and Federal Crop Insurance Reporting by providing tools for tracking crops, nutrients, and harvests. This free resource is publicly available but is intended to serve the Maryland agricultural community (“Users”). Support for this project was provided by the University of Maryland Extension, Mid-Shore Regional Council, Tri-County Council for the Lower Shore of Maryland, Tri-County Council for Southern Maryland, Tri-County Council for Western Maryland, and the Upper Shore Regional Council with funding through the Rural Maryland Council and the Rural Maryland Prosperity Investment Fund (“Supporting Organizations”). Opinions, findings, and conclusions expressed herein do not necessarily reflect the position or policy of the Supporting Organizations, and no official endorsement should be inferred.
The Application is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee the Application will be error-free, secure, or available at all times.
The Application makes no guarantees of the success of Users in reporting to State and Federal agencies.
Users will only receive emails from the Application to verify their email account, if a password reset is requested, and if another Application user invites you to collaborate on their farm.
The Application is committed to the responsible use of personal and sensitive information. The Application stores information provided by users for the sole purpose of populating the user profile. Data is stored in a secure database and Users can only access their own personal data and data shared with them by other Application users.
Users are limited to entering and viewing their own personal farm data and will not have access to any other farm data entered within the Application.
Users agree not to use the Application to:
- Violate any laws, regulations, or third-party rights.
- Transmit malicious software or spam.
- Access or collect data without authorization.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for users who engage in prohibited activities.
Cookies are required in order to create, sign into, or otherwise use the Application, as they are used to hold the User’s state across the Application. The Application will not function as intended with cookies disabled.
The Application uses Google Analytics to monitor usage for the sole purpose of improving site functionality. Google Analytics places cookies on the User’s end to monitor the experience. User information is collected at the IP Address level and these data are aggregated up. We make no attempt to connect collected information with personally identifiable information. You may prevent Google Analytics from tracking your visits overtime by disabling cookies on your browser or installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Brower Add-on.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Application without notice if we determine, at our sole discretion, that you have violated these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Application will immediately cease.
Users may delete their profile at any time.
University programs, activities, and facilities are available to all without regard to race, color, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, marital status, age, national origin, political affiliation, physical or mental disability, religion, protected veteran status, genetic information, personal appearance, or any other legally protected class.
